Sponsored content
Approved policy ยท 2026-10-03
Sponsored placements are labelled before the advertiser message and are kept separate from organic recommendations. They never change search ranking, event ordering, eligibility, or the contents of the public catalogue.
How selection works
A placement can be selected only when the campaign, advertiser, creative, schedule, destination, and placement are approved. Contextual selection may use the page topic, broad location, delivery mode, or device class.
Saved professional interests are used only when marketing personalisation is explicitly enabled in account privacy controls. Turning it off prevents those interests from being used for sponsored selection.
Measurement and controls
Impressions, clicks, and verified conversions are measured through first-party, purpose-bound event tokens. Reports are aggregate-only and small cohorts are suppressed. No advertising profile, retargeting pixel, auction, or third-party programmatic network is used.
Campaign administrators can pause a campaign immediately. If the campaign service is unavailable, the safe result is no sponsored content while organic discovery, provider pages, and email continue.
